An April 15 deadline set by NSW Farmers to terminate its membership of the National Farmers Federation will be hit on Wednesday without resolution, but patching up the relationship remains a possibility.

The farmer representative groups are also working together lobbying the federal government on ensuring sufficient fuel and fertiliser stocks resulting from the ongoing Middle East war.
“Day to day our democracies work strongly around federation of farm associations or farm unions,” Mr Martin said.
“I envisage the calendar involves quite a few critical points where we will be making decisions.
“When we’ve made decisions we will announce them,” he said.
Asked what the relationship was like presently between the NSW Farmers and NFF, Mr Martin said: “NSW Farmers Association objects and policies expect us to unite and work together with like organisations.”
Mr Martin’s letter last year was penned when David Jochinke was NFF president.
Mr McIntyre took over the role last October.
“We received that letter originally,” he said.
“But at the moment I would be very surprised if those dates are absolutely set in stone.
“The current situation with what is going on around Australia and worldwide, it has never been more important that we are all aligned and working closely with the federal government on what we can do for all members.”
